Cape Blanc-Nez
It’s impossible to talk about Sangatte without mentioning Cap Blanc-Nez. Its impressive white chalk cliffs, rising 130 meters above the English Channel, offer spectacular panoramic views all the way to Cran d’Escalles.
Along with Cap Gris-Nez, it is designated a “Grand Site de France” and is one of the region’s most remarkable landscapes.

Les Noires-Mottes
Behind the village lie the Noires-Mottes, a natural area protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Numerous hiking trails lead to Cap Blanc-Nez, offering exceptional views of Sangatte, Escalles, Wissant, and the entire Calais region.
